U.S. Secretary of Transportation Elaine L. Chao recently announced a Request for Information (RFI) to receive feedback from the public and stakeholders on rural transportation needs and opportunities. The RFI is part of the U.S. Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Rural Opportunities to Use Transportation for Economic Success (ROUTES) Initiative.
The ROUTES Initiative will address disparities in rural transportation infrastructure in order to tangibly improve safety and economic competitiveness in all parts of the country. To learn more about the ROUTES Initiative, click here.
