Nevada is paving the way for innovation by hiring Applied Pavement Technology, Inc. (APTech) to administer the Nevada Local Technical Assistance Program (NVLTAP). NVLTAP’s mission is to provide assistance to local agencies with transportation responsibilities. APTech has over 20 years of experience providing technical assistance and training to the transportation industry, and is a recognized industry leader in developing and delivering innovative training to transportation agencies around the US.

The driving forces behind this new effort are Steve Seeds, P.E., Program Manager for Technical Assistance, and Nancy Laffey, Program Manager for Training.

Steve Seeds, P.E.: Program Manager for Technical Assistance

For over 30 years, Steve has provided training and technical support across Nevada in areas such as pavement design, construction, management, rehabilitation, and preservation.

Nancy Laffey: Program Manager for Training

Nancy brings 15 years of experience developing classroom and online transportation training in pavement, maintenance and construction, asset management, safety, environmental, and work zone traffic and safety topics.

New online training courses are being offered in practical math, pavement preservation, asset management, and weather-related operations. Read course descriptions and register via the NVLTAP website.
