Description

Fall Protection is a 6-hour, in-person workshop that covers the most fatal exposure in construction—falling from elevation.

This training covers OSHA standards as they relate to fall protection, and the different types of fall protection, including:

  • personal fall arrest systems,
  • guard railing,
  • safety nets,
  • anchor points, and
  • lanyard selection.

This workshop addresses the needs and requirements for fall protection in construction and general industry, so come prepared for open discussions on the different hazards you face.

Instructor

Scott Alquist is a 32-year safety professional specializing in construction safety, general industry safety and hazardous materials. Scott has completed the National Highway Institute “Train the Trainer” program and is an Occupational Safety and Health Administration authorized instructor. Currently, he is the Program Manager for Truckee Meadows Community College's Safety Center.

Dates and Locations

This class is not currently scheduled.

There will be a 1-hour lunch break and breaks throughout the day. Be sure to review NVLTAP's classroom COVID-19 requirements. The course locations are limited to 15 participants.
