This course is limited to personnel employed by northern Nevada agencies.
Laborers’ Local 169 co-sponsors this 4-hour certification course, which has been approved by the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) and covers procedures for flaggers working on NDOT projects. All flaggers on these projects must have a certification of training in their possession while working. Topics include work zone hazards and safety; state regulations; flagging personal protective equipment; and flagging procedures.
Flagger Training is an elective of the Road Scholar program.

Flagger training is offered through the Laborer’s Training Trust for Northern Nevada. To enroll, you must complete and sign the registration form and acknowledge the rules of conduct. You can register multiple people using one form. Click the submit button at the end of the form to complete. The registration form is found here.
The in-person sessions will take place at Northern Nevada Laborers’ Training Center, 50 Wild Horse Canyon Drive, Sparks, NV. Be sure to review NVLTAP's classroom COVID-19 requirements.
The registration fee is $75 ($85 starting for sessions in February 2022) and is payable by check or credit card. Discounted fees are considered for local agencies.
