Description

This course is designed to familiarize students with the background of construction stormwater pollution control regulations, installation techniques of pollution control measures, and proper maintenance of sediment and erosion control measures. Overviews of stormwater pollution prevention plans and essential elements of the plans will be presented.

Instructor

James Murphy is currently a Program Manager within the Nevada Department of Transportation. Since 2008, James has assisted with the development and implementation of NDOT’s Stormwater Management Program, including the Department’s Construction Site Runoff Control Program. James is experienced in BMP regulations and implementation for construction site stormwater compliance.  James graduated from the University of Nevada with a BS in Environmental and Natural Resource Science and an MS in Hydrologic Sciences.
