This course is limited to personnel employed by Nevada government and tribal agencies or those working for unionized Nevada employers.
Laborers’ Local 169 sponsors this 4-hour certification course, which has been approved by the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) and covers procedures for flaggers working on NDOT projects. All flaggers on these projects must have a certification of training in their possession while working. Topics include:
- Work zone hazards and safety;
- State regulations;
- Flagging personal protective equipment; and
- Flagging procedures.
Flagger Training is an elective of the Road Scholar program.
Dates and Registration
There are two locations to attend:
Southern NV Laborers Training, 1750 E Sahara Ave, Las Vegas NV 89104 (10 maximum participants)
- Tuesday, March 15, 2022 (7–11:30 am PT)
Northern Nevada Laborers' Training Center, 50 Wild Horse Canyon Drive, Sparks NV 89434 (8 person maximum)
- Stay tuned for upcoming dates for the Northern location.
Flagger training is offered through the Laborer’s Training Trust. To enroll in a Northern Nevada session, a registration form and the acknowledged the rules of conduct must be signed by each employee. The forms can be scanned and emailed to Tracey Smith, email@example.com, or submitted electronically. The Northern Nevada registration form is found here. The registration fee is $85 and is payable by check or credit card. Payment must be received prior to the first day of class.
