Depositions are a question-and-answer session in which a witness gives testimony under oath in response to questions from an attorney. They are a key part of the information gathering phase in any lawsuit. It is not uncommon for roadway personnel at all levels of state and local roadway agencies to be called to give a deposition in a roadway lawsuit.
