As state departments of transportation accelerate digital transformation and AI readiness, effective data governance has become the cornerstone for ensuring data quality, integration, and trust across transportation systems. TRB will host a webinar on Friday, May 8, 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM Eastern that will highlight insights from NCHRP Project 20-44(48) Peer Exchanges on Data Management and Governance Practices, which convened DOT leaders nationwide to explore strategies for establishing and sustaining robust data governance programs. The session will also examine key issues identified during the peer exchanges and their implications for advancing data governance across agencies. Presenters will share a brief project overview and moderate a discussion with DOT data officers who participated in the peer exchanges.
This webinar is sponsored by TRB’s National Cooperative Highway Research Program.
The registration fee is $100. Purchase a webinar package for discounted pricing. Complimentary registration is available for employees of TRB sponsors, standing technical committee chairs, involved CRP panel members, media, congressional staff, and TRB or National Academies staff. A recording will be sent to all registrants after the webinar.
