Maintenance and other field workers are exposed to hazards that require a higher level of management than traditional office-based positions within state departments of transportation (DOTs). TRB will host a webinar on Thursday, February 9, 2023 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM Pacific that will explore the national state of practice and trends on the use of safety management systems to manage maintenance worker safety. Presenters will also provide a perspective from a national DOT leader in the area of safety and practices for managing heat stress.
