Pavement Preservation & Recycling Alliance webinar: Setting & Achieving Road Network Goals, Featuring Kent County, MI
April 8 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am| Free
Six years ago, The Kent County, Michigan Road Commission set out to improve their primary road network of nearly 660 miles. This ten-year goal, moving from 65% rated “Good” or “Fair” to 90%, came on the heels of a state transportation funding increase. With the influx of revenue, decision makers asked themselves, “How are we going to use that money and what can we realistically achieve?”
Today, Kent County is on track to meet expectations. Join us as road commission representatives share their story and the strategies they have taken to accomplish this monumental achievement. In addition the Michigan county’s successes, participants of this webinar will walk away with free tools and resources on RoadResource.org that deliver on the same principles and concepts used by Kent County. Learn to put these tools to work for your own road network.
As 2021 continues with surprises and uncertainties in economic and infrastructure support, it is more important than ever for road managers to understand real-life methods to improve road networks– whether budgets are increased or decreased for the year.
