In 2015, Polk County, Florida began implementing a proactive approach to pavement management through the use of preservation and recycling. Over the last seven years they’ve doubled the miles treated per year, used proven progress to justify an increase in funds, reduced their backlog, and seen the overall condition of their network improve.
