Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE) methods will be discussed for determination of unknown structural conditions such as reinforcement details, material properties, structural integrity, corrosion, foundation type/depth and floor load capacity. The use of NDE methods such as radar, impact echo, surface waves, slab impulse response, ultrasonic pulse velocity/tomography, parallel seismic, sonic echo and load testing will be illustrated on buildings and parking structures with applications to concrete, masonry, steel and wood structural materials.
