Course Description:

The Instructor Development Course prepares current and potential National Highway Institute (NHI) instructors to deliver learner-centric instruction using pre-developed and designed instructional materials.  This course provides an introduction to the knowledge and skills that instructors need to have to be able to deliver training effectively. This is not a presentation skills course, but one that teaches participants how to tap into Adult Learning Principles and improve an instructor’s ability to meet the needs of an adult learner

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

1. 1. Identify critical training competencies for instructors
   2. Practice critical training competencies for instructors
   3. Deliver a 15-minute training that successfully incorporates the critical training competencies

Pre Course Preparation:

Ensure you have access to around 15 minutes of training material, 6-12 slides, with I or 2 learning outcome(s).
