This webinar will focus on Monitoring and Reporting on Performance of Traffic Management Systems.

Performance monitoring, evaluation, and reporting is an essential task for TMS as they help determine the effectiveness and efficiency of the system. In order to provide useful performance information, it is important to define the subsystems, functions, actions, and services of a TMS that needs to monitored, evaluated and reported on. In addition it is important to specify the scope of the TMS performance monitoring and reporting. These may include:

  • TMS asset performance (e.g., number of system failures within a period of time, detector communication performance, etc.).
  • Traffic impact performance (e.g., section travel times, section average speed, section throughput, etc.).
