Human traffickers exploit legitimate systems within multiple business sectors for their profits. Traffickers are using resources within the transportation sector to move their victims. Transportation is also a way out for survivors. This webinar will feature research-based data, survivor-informed messaging, practical ways that you can identify potential incidents of human trafficking, what to safely do with what you observe and how you can encourage others to join you in the fight to end modern day slavery.

At the conclusion of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Understand what human trafficking is and how it is affecting the transportation sector;
  • Utilize existing resources for safely reporting cases of suspected human trafficking;
  • Influence your co-workers, business associates, community, family and friends to join in the fight to end modern day slavery.

This training is directed towards a very broad safety audience including, but not limited to, law enforcement, planners, engineers, first responders, elected officials, public health, tourism agencies, and safety culture experts. Participants should have some basic familiarity with transportation safety.
