This webinar will share findings from CPBS project 25UWM01, Using Head-Mounted Virtual Reality to Measure Dynamic Driver Sight Distances and Blind Spots. Attendees will learn how a VR-based simulation framework can be used to evaluate the effects of roadway environment, vehicle design, and driver behavior on driver blind zones and sight distances. The webinar will also summarize selected research findings and key themes from a survey of professionals in related fields regarding practical applications and future research directions.
