AASHTO TSP-2 Local Agency: Bridge Deck Preservation Training

The AASHTO TSP-2 Local Agency Bridge Preservation working group is pleased to announce a Bridge Deck Preservation Training Opportunity. The 60-minute training is specifically designed to teach the basics of bridge deck preservation and is geared towards meeting the needs of local agencies.
The concrete deck is the highest value component on the bridge. Rehabilitating or replacing the deck is costly and can often trigger a full bridge replacement. This training will provide information on how to delay or avoid the need for those costly replacements by applying cost effective bridge deck preservation treatments.
This virtual training is being offered free of charge. Participants will gain a general understanding of why preservation is important, how to identify good candidates for preservation, what activities are available and an idea of cost and degree of difficulty with performing the work.
