DESCRIPTION:*Please NOTE this course is for Louisiana LTAP and held in Lousiana.* \nCourse Description:\nThis course is based on Part 6 of the 2023\, 11th edition of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). \nTopics may include: \n\nFundamental Principles of Traffic Control\nElements of Temporary Traffic Control Zones\nWorker and Road User Safety Considerations\nTemporary Traffic Control Devices\nTemporary Traffic Control Activities\nTypical Applications for Local Agency Work\nTraffic Control for Incident\n\nOne year of field experience is recommended\, but not required for this course; however\, completion of the “LTAP Mini-Workshop with Flagger“ is recommended in order to understand the concepts presented in this course. This course does not qualify as a required certification for contractors under DOTD Rules. \nLocation:\nMel Ott Multi-Purpose Center\n2301 Belle Chasse Highway\nGretna\, LA 70053 \nCourse Times:\nRegistration/Breakfast: 7:00am (CT)\nClass: 7:30am – 2:30pm (CT) \nCourse Fees & Cancellations:\n$35 for Public Agencies\n$70 for Private Agencies \nFees include training materials\, breakfast and lunch.
