SUMMARY:Road Safety Champion Program Core Module #7: Safety Analysis Process
DESCRIPTION:The safety analysis process\, as part of the FHWA Safety Toolkit\, is a systematic process for identifying the factors that can contribute to crashes and implementing effective countermeasures. It is a best practice method that is flexible and can be used to fit your needs. This two-hour training will cover the safety analysis process and discuss how it can be applied using two different complementary analysis methods: the traditional site analysis and the systemic analysis. Additionally\, case studies will be utilized to demonstrate practical applications on the process. \nThe National Center for Rural Road Safety will host all seven core modules of the RSCP on Tuesdays starting March 14th and running until April 25th. \nInformation on each of these two-hour trainings is provided below (listed by date). \nNOTE: \n\nThese trainings will use Zoom. Please ensure Zoom is on your “safe” email list before registering to ensure you receive the link to attend.\nThese trainings are part of the RSCP\, so the recording WILL NOT be made available to registrants. Please only register if you can attend that day.\nYou do not need to attend all 7 modules and can take them out of order.\nYou must attend the entire training to receive a certificate of completion.
