DESCRIPTION:The National Center for Rural Road Safety (Rural Safety Center) and the NLTAPA Safety Working Group are co-hosting a FREE\, 1.5-hour online webinar.  \nWebinar Description\nThis webinar will feature noteworthy practices from the LRSP Implementation Peer Exchange held in Bismarck\, North Dakota. In addition\, this webinar will showcase counties that have begun implementation of LRSPs. These counties will highlight the methodologies and processes used to begin implementing their plans locally by describing types of safety projects\, funding opportunities\, and strategies to streamline safety projects. \nWebinar Outcomes\nAt the conclusion of this webinar\, participants will be able to: \n\nIdentify some barriers that can affect the implementation of LRSPs\nIdentify strategies to streamline safety project implementation\nIdentify economical solutions for saving lives\nList methodologies or processes towards implementation\n\nTarget Audience\nThis training is directed towards a very broad safety audience including\, but not limited to\, law enforcement\, planners\, engineers\, first responders\, elected officials\, public health\, tourism agencies\, and safety culture experts. Participants should have some basic familiarity with transportation safety.
